About us:
The CSI Green Team is led by Sealth students. We strive to inform and engage our community in discussion and action to protect the environment, increase sustainability, and create a healthier planet.
Started as a senior project to launch the composting program, the Green Team continues to organize and improve the program each year. We also work with the YESC to restore and maintain Longfellow Creek and other greenspaces throughout Seattle.
To encourage the use of re-usable water bottles and reduce plastic pollution, we have an ongoing project to install filling stations in our school, and eventually ban the sale of plastic water bottles in Seattle Public Schools.
We meet weekly to organize events in our school and work on long term projects.
